We work with SBA lenders, attorneys, financial advisors, and business owners on acquisition closings, estate and gift filings, divorces, shareholder disputes, and business sales.We are hiring a Senior Associate for one of two groups: SBA, M&A, and Quality of Earnings, or Estate & Gift and Divorce & Litigation. You will work directly with our Founder, Valuation Director, and Senior Valuation Manager. You will run work, get reviewed by the people who sign the reports, and learn the judgment calls that separate an analyst from an appraiser. What you will doTake engagements from kickoff to draft: pull and analyze financials and tax returns, normalize earnings, research the industry and the economy, and build income, market, and asset-approach models.Draft Calculation of Value and Conclusion of Value reports (Summary and Detailed) that a credit committee, an estate attorney, or opposing counsel can use.SBA / M&A / QoE track: own day-to-day work on SBA 7(a) acquisition valuations and quality of earnings files, including document requests, lender and buyer communication, and SOP 50 10 8 independence and turnaround requirements.Estate & Gift / Divorce & Litigation track: support gift and estate, marital dissolution, buy-sell, and shareholder dispute engagements, including DLOM and control analyses and expert-report exhibits.Lead management interviews and client calls as you are ready, with senior staff on the line.Work with and lead our admin and valuation associate on file setup, document collection, workpapers, and first-pass analysis, and review their work before it comes to senior staff.Tighten templates, models, and workpaper standards as the practice grows.Work toward or maintain your credential. Exam fees, study time, and dues are covered.What you bring3–5 years of business valuation at a valuation, accounting, or advisory firm, or transaction advisory / QoE work with real valuation exposure.Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics.CVA, ABV, ASA, or CFA completed or in progress.Strong Excel modeling and a working command of the income, market, and asset approaches.Careful writing. You notice when a number does not tie, and you say so.Ability to carry several files at once and hit hard deadlines.Interest in how a business actually makes money, where it breaks, and what a buyer would pay.Why this seatMotivated and growth oriented team.
