This position will be responsible for leading and executing both market and competitive intelligence engagements with our clients. This role involves both managing projects and executing projects. Strong familiarity with open source driven intelligence is crucial. Experience must be working directly on and with top 100 U.S. Government contracts and contractors. This person should be able to lead a Black Hat review. Other engagements include market intelligence projects, ad hoc research projects and requests, support client focused strategic planning, competitive intelligence requirements. The candidate will be responsible to execute competitive analysis both as a lead on a project and supporting work for projects. The ideal candidate is able to bring in business opportunities. This position will involve direct interaction with clients during facilitated Black Hat reviews (competitive intelligence enabled war games) and other market intelligence projects support.We currently work 100 percent remotely. This may change. Candidates are strongly preferred to be in DC, MD or VA.Basic requirements include:Minimum of five (5) years in competitive and market intelligence consulting and analysis or intelligence analysis in a national security environment. Minimum of two (2) years verifiable experience managing a Black Hat review or similar CI driven live simulation starting with preparation, execution and follow-upIntelligence analysis techniques using open source information and resourcesCompetitive Analysis (SWOT, Key accounts, Strengths in each of our target industries, how we differentiate, summary of offerings by competitor, estimation of competitor pricing, detailed reviews for each competitor)Market Research (Market Segmentation, Market sizing, Target Customers, Industry leaders/influencers)High level of comfort in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Proficiency using AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT to aid analysis (but it does NOT do it for you...we hire thinking humans not placeholders)Understanding the general organization of the U.S. Government The candidate is:Collaborative with colleagues and clients…work together as a teamConfident, but not arrogant when leading teams…drive to an action-oriented outcome!Willing and able to do ALL aspects of our projects from simple to complex (no ego, please)Experienced in federal contract pursuits to understand how to articulate a compelling story that could win Education:*Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with five (5) years relevant industry experienceMUST be a U.S. Citizen (not negotiable) Desired qualifications include:Formal CI certificationsFormal education in intelligence analysis with a concentration in competitive intelligenceWork experience directly involving supporting major capture efforts > $50 million in value (don’t use IDIQ ceilings)Experience using analytics and visualization softwareData science background is also desiredPrice-to-Win expertise is highly desiredCompensationSalary is negotiable depending on the candidate with a range of $85,000 to $95,000. 401(k) with matching.
