Senior Automation & AI Engineer (Project-based)

We move fast, operate at scale, and we're serious about building real automation capability, not PowerPoints about it.The role We are looking for a senior hands-on automation and AI engineer to own our automation capability end to end — from assessing what's worth building, to making the right technology decisions, to shipping production-grade workflows that deliver measurable business value. You will work closely with our internal tech team throughout. This is not a consulting role. You assess and you build.Your key responsibilitiesAssess business processes, data readiness, and infrastructure to define and prioritize automation use cases by ROIEvaluate and recommend the right tools, LLMs, models, and infrastructure per use case — no predetermined stack beyond the orchestration layerDesign and build production-grade automation workflows connecting internal systems, documents, and AI capabilitiesIntegrate AI and LLM APIs into operational workflows — document processing, data extraction, structured outputs, process automationImplement RAG architectures and prompt engineering patterns where relevantOwn API integrations with ERP and internal systems end to endApply strong engineering practices — error handling, monitoring, retry logic, production stabilityCollaborate with internal tech team to ensure what gets built is maintainable, documented, and handed over properlyOwn full project lifecycle — scoping, architecture, development, testing, deployment, and handoverWhat you'll work on Finance cycles, procurement, invoicing, document processing, and operational workflows across a multi-market distribution business.Are you the right person?6+ years of hands-on experience in automation and AI engineeringProven experience delivering production-grade automation systems — not proofs of concept or demosStrong hands-on experience with n8n or equivalent API-first orchestration platformsPractical experience integrating LLM and AI APIs into live operational workflowsStrong understanding of RAG patterns, prompt engineering, and structured output generationSolid REST API integration experience — ERP systems, enterprise data sources, third party servicesStrong programming skills in Python or JavaScript for custom logic and data transformationProven ability to independently assess a business, define use cases, and deliver end to endExperience managing project-based or freelance engagements — scoping, delivery, and handoverBackground in distribution, supply chain, trading, or ops-heavy environmentsNice to haveERPNext experienceMulti-market or regional delivery experienceExperience building AI solutions for finance or procurement cyclesLocation: Egypt (mandatory)Engagement: Project basis
