This role will work closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Managers, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure software quality, reliability, performance, and release readiness. (BeBee)🎯 Key Responsibilities• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance scalable automated test frameworks.• Develop automated test scripts for web, mobile, desktop, API, and backend applications.• Create comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, test cases, and automation strategies.• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end-to-end testing.• Develop and execute automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or similar frameworks.• Perform API testing and automation using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar platforms.• Conduct database and backend validation using SQL and database testing techniques.• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms.• Analyze automated test results, investigate failures, identify root causes, and coordinate defect resolution.• Collaborate closely with Developers and Engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.• Review business and technical requirements and translate them into comprehensive automated test scenarios.• Maintain test data, test environments, automation scripts, frameworks, and testing documentation.• Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation reliability, execution speed, and overall QA efficiency.• Support performance, stability, scalability, and reliability testing where required.• Track defects and testing activities using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Zephyr, or similar platforms.• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.• Support release validation, production readiness, and post-release quality monitoring.• Evaluate new automation tools, technologies, frameworks, and testing methodologies.• Develop proof-of-concepts for new testing technologies and automation solutions.• Establish testing standards, coding practices, reusable components, and automation best practices.• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentoring to junior QA and automation testers.• Prepare testing status reports, quality metrics, defect reports, and test completion documentation. (LinkedIn)✅ Requirements• Proven experience in Software Testing, QA Automation, Test Engineering, or a related technical role.• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining automated testing frameworks.• 5+ years of software testing experience, with significant hands-on automation experience preferred. Current senior Malaysia postings commonly seek roughly 5–10+ years depending on the role. (BeBee)• Strong programming or scripting skills in Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar languages.• Strong experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or Tosca.• Strong understanding of API testing and backend validation.• Experience with SQL and database testing.• Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, Git, Agile, Scrum, and SDLC methodologies.• Experience with testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, JMeter, Jira, Zephyr, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps is an advantage.• Knowledge of performance, load, stress, security, and reliability testing is preferred.• Experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is an advantage.• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized testing environments is preferred.• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, and debugging skills.• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to software quality.• Ability to work effectively with distributed and cross-functional technical teams.• Strong communication and documentation skills.• Ability to mentor junior testers and contribute to testing strategy and technical decisions.• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
