Apply & track with Apply EdgeWe are looking for an experienced Senior AV Technician with a strong background in Video Conferencing and Unified Communications to support the delivery, operation, and maintenance of professional meeting room and collaboration technologies. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with video conferencing systems, meeting room technology, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, test, and maintain professional video conferencing and meeting room systems.Provide on-site technical support for meeting rooms, boardrooms, conference spaces, and collaboration environments.Troubleshoot video, audio, connectivity, and device-related issues quickly and effectively.Support platforms such as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other video conferencing solutions.Configure and support cameras, microphones, speakers, displays, codecs, control systems, and room peripherals.Carry out room commissioning, system testing, and pre-meeting technical checks.Monitor and diagnose AV and VC system performance to minimise downtime.Support users with meeting setup, connectivity, presentation sharing, and conferencing issues.Liaise with IT, facilities, vendors, and internal stakeholders to resolve technical issues.Provide technical support during important meetings and high-profile events.Maintain accurate equipment records, documentation, and technical procedures.Assist with system upgrades, installations, and technology refresh projects.Mentor junior technicians and share technical knowledge across the team.Skills & ExperienceProven experience as an AV Technician, Video Conferencing Technician, or similar technical role.Strong hands-on knowledge of video conferencing and collaboration technologies.Experience with Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom Rooms, or similar meeting room environments.Good understanding of AV signal flow, audio systems, video distribution, displays, cameras, and microphones.Experience configuring and troubleshooting conferencing hardware and room control systems.Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.Comfortable working directly with users, clients, and senior stakeholders.Ability to remain calm and professional when troubleshooting issues under time pressure.Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to technical support.Relevant AV/IT qualifications or industry certifications are desirable.Experience with networking and basic IP troubleshooting would be advantageous.Full UK driving licence is desirable.The Ideal CandidateYou will be a technically confident Video Conferencing / AV professional who understands the importance of reliable meeting room technology and excellent user experience.
