Scope of Work (Job Purpose)Managing a wide range of Audio, Visual, and Lighting (AVL) systems, sound reinforcement, and outdoor lighting for special events, as well as maintaining all related areas on a daily basis.This is an operational role that requires monitoring audio, visual, and lighting equipment, as well as show effects equipment (including snow, smoke, and water effects). The role requires a thorough knowledge of the techniques and tools used for basic on-site repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and servicing of AVL equipment.The Senior AV Technician will be scheduled for all set-ups, pre-productions, technical rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and stage show performances, ensuring timely and efficient delivery. They will also be expected to work closely on any requirements related to entertainment offerings, including shows, parades, street performances, opening ceremonies, and closing events.Main ResponsibilitiesResponsible for all electrical and electronic work related to stage shows, street performances, pyro/fireworks (occasionally), and other show or stunt special effects, specifically in Audio, Visual, and Lighting.Monitor and report on equipment and materials; weekly and monthly inspections are mandatory.Schedule monthly maintenance services with third-party providers as required to ensure equipment is properly maintained.Prepare routine work reports, cue sheets, and schedules.Conduct daily inventory checks and reorder consumable items as required, from Purchase Requisition submission through approval and delivery. Follow-up is required until the goods are delivered on-site.Schedule and follow up on projector maintenance services, monitor performance, and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and the in-house maintenance team.Provide technical support when required at venue locations to ensure show standards are maintained.Complete assignments as directed by the Entertainment Assistant Manager or Manager.Perform daily inspections of all equipment and major projects to ensure satisfactory performance.Participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of all audio-visual and related electronic equipment within the park's show systems.Maintain and repair intercommunication systems for halls, stages, and event areas as required.Design and fabricate testing devices when required and not otherwise available.Monitor issued equipment and maintain inventory and maintenance records.Evaluate materials and maintenance techniques to develop more efficient operating methods and utilize superior equipment.Follow safety procedures and promote proper work ethics and professional conduct.Model non-discriminatory practices in all activities.Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.Health & SafetyTake reasonable care for your own health and safety, as well as that of other individuals who may be affected by your work activities.Cooperate with and support LEGOLAND Dubai Management to enable the business to fulfill its legal responsibilities by:Following all reasonable health and safety instructions.Reporting dangerous situations or deficiencies in health and safety arrangements.Using work equipment only in accordance with the training provided.Not interfering with or misusing anything provided for health and safety purposes.Qualifications, Experience & SkillsRequired ExperienceA minimum of two years' experience working as part of a film crew, production/post-production team, live show performance team, shopping mall events team, street events team, hall events team, or within a theme park environment.Job-Specific SkillsFluent in written and spoken English.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Creative Cloud.Skilled in audio editing and song track preparation.Proficient in QLab and Watchout show control and playback systems.Proficient in GrandMA and Avolites lighting control systems.Knowledge of show control systems, DMX, and lighting protocols.Skilled in PA system setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting.Knowledge of audio-visual, lighting, and entertainment technologies.Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic on-site repairs and maintenance of AV and lighting equipment.Strong understanding of show production, technical rehearsals, and live entertainment operations.
