Job DescriptionManage clinical caseload and provide medical expertise in Aviation Medicine to ensure best service to air crew compliant with regulatory standards and international best practice.AccountabilitiesProvide specialized care in accordance with HAAD rules and Civil Aviation regulations to ensure high-quality care delivery and determine fit-to-fly conditionsRespond and handle medical emergencies in the Medical Centre clinical area providing required medical care to ensure patient health and safetyParticipate in review and planning activities relevant to specialist services in Medical Centre to increase operational efficiencyParticipate in medical audits as required by Health Authorities, Aviation and related Authorities for licensing requirements to ensure full compliance. Collect and analyse data on provided specialist services to report main insights to managementAssist in formulation of policies and procedures and prepare directives governing aviation medicine and preventative medicine issues to ensure consistency in provided services and alignment to regulationsDevelop clinical care pathways with strategic healthcare provider partners to ensure seamless service for air crewProvide general medicine consultations when needed QualificationsMinimum Diploma (2 years or more) in Medicine with post-graduation qualification in Aviation Medicine field from institution recognized by the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi;Obtain a license from HAAD to practice within the specialty. Minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience within relevant field overall; Minimum of 5 years of work experience in aviation medicine specialty in health clinical/hospital since gaining higher qualification. High degree of awareness and understanding of HAAD/GCAA regulations and standards.
