This position is not with OVI.We are a small AI product studio in Dubai, seeking a Senior Backend and AI Engineer to own the platform and AI layer behind our review and attestation product, as well as the certified Arabic legal translation engine. This role involves end-to-end ownership of pipelines, from data and evaluation through to deployment, cost, and monitoring.Key Responsibilities• Own the integration layer, routing and review workflow, attestation and audit trail, and infrastructure of the review platform.• Manage the certified Arabic and English legal translation engine, including pipeline design, model selection, and evaluation.• Strengthen the backend to meet the demands of buyers who audit answers.• Propose and justify architectural changes with evidence.• Build meaningful evaluation systems for translation and agent runs.• Deploy and instrument the review platform integration.Your Profile• Strong TypeScript and Node skills, with 4+ years of experience in shipping production backend software.• Experience owning a service in production, including design, deployment, and maintenance.• Depth in API and contract design, data modeling, concurrency, caching, and database performance.• Expertise in at least two of the following: agentic systems, applied LLM systems, evaluation.• Comfort working as one of few engineers on a product.What's Offered• Salary: AED 15,000 to 25,000 per month, depending on profile.• Visa sponsorship provided.• Start date: 1 September.Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate is someone who thrives in a small team environment, values quick decision-making, and is comfortable with the dynamic nature of an early-stage product.
