Senior Backend Developer (Java)

We are looking for a Senior Backend Developer to join our software development team and play an important role in designing and developing robust, scalable, and maintainable backend solutions.In this role, you will work with demanding software systems in an international environment. We expect you to work from the Turku office at least two days per week, while the remaining days can be worked remotely.What we are looking for Extensive professional software development experience, typically 10 years or more, with strong senior-level expertise in Java and backend developmentA solid understanding of software design and the ability to build high-quality, maintainable solutionsAbility to work effectively in English, as it is used as the daily working languageGood knowledge of relational databases and SQLExperience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQLExperience with CI/CD practices and automated software delivery pipelinesThe ability to work independently, take ownership, and solve complex technical problemsExcellent communication and collaboration skillsA willingness to share knowledge, discuss technical solutions openly and constructively, andhelp the whole team succeedAbility to work from the Turku office at least two days per weekWhat would be a plus Experience in data engineering, including data processing, data pipelines, or working with large volumes of dataExperience in developing IoT solutions, including MQTT-based communication and messaging architecturesExperience with Vue.js, React, or frontend development in generalWhat kind of person are we looking for?
