Senior Backend Developer - .NET

Our engineering teams work on real products, real customers, and systems that need to perform reliably at scale.We’re looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems, designing scalable services, and taking ownership beyond simply writing code.What you’ll be working on:Design and develop scalable backend services using C#, .NET Core and SQL Server.Build and evolve REST APIs, integrations, microservices and distributed systems.Translate product and business requirements into robust technical solutions.Make architectural decisions that balance scalability, performance, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.Identify and resolve complex performance, reliability, and production issues.Optimize database queries, application performance, and service reliability.Build automated tests and contribute to strong engineering quality standards.Participate in technical design discussions, code reviews, and architecture decisions.Work closely with Product, Frontend, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments across development, testing, and production environments.Contribute to reusable components, engineering standards, documentation, and technical best practices.Mentor other engineers and help raise the technical bar across the team.Take ownership of solutions from design → development → deployment → monitoring → continuous improvement.We’re looking for someone whoHas 8+ years of backend/software engineering experience.Has strong hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core and MS SQL Server.Has designed and developed scalable APIs, backend services and distributed applications.Has a solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, integrations and system design.Has experience working with relational databases and optimizing complex queries.Understands automated testing, CI/CD and modern software development practices.Is comfortable working with Git, GitHub, Jira and Agile methodologies.Has experience with cloud platforms, Docker and containerized applications — a plus.Has exposure to React or frontend development — a plus.Enjoys solving ambiguous and technically challenging problems.Can communicate technical ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with different teams.Engineering at First.Tech is evolvingWe’re actively adopting AI-assisted engineering across our development lifecycle.You don’t need to be an AI expert.
