Backend Developer (Node.js)Location: Dubai / Hybrid / RemoteAbout ComperoCompero is an AI-powered food discovery and comparison platform that helps users find the best prices, offers, and delivery options across multiple food delivery platforms.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js.Build and maintain RESTful APIs for the Compero mobile and web applications.Integrate third-party APIs, AI services, and external food delivery platforms.Design and optimize database architecture for high performance and scalability.Implement secure authentication and authorization systems.Optimize API performance, caching, and response times.Develop backend logic for AI-powered search, recommendations, and food matching.Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve backend issues in production.Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.Collaborate closely with Flutter developers, AI engineers, UI/UX designers, and the Product Manager.Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.Create automated tests and support CI/CD deployment pipelines.Ensure backend security, reliability, and high availability.Required SkillsStrong experience with Node.js.Experience with Express.js or NestJS.Strong knowledge of REST APIs.Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar databases.Experience with Redis caching.Experience integrating third-party APIs.Familiarity with JWT authentication and OAuth.Experience with Git and GitHub.Understanding of Docker and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).Experience with automated testing and CI/CD pipelines.Nice to HaveExperience with AI integrations (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, etc.).Experience with Elasticsearch or vector search.Knowledge of Firebase services.Experience building high-traffic consumer applications.Experience with food delivery, marketplace, or comparison platforms.What We OfferOpportunity to build one of the region's most innovative AI platforms.Flexible working environment.Career growth opportunities.Competitive salary.Work with modern technologies and AI solutions.
