Our client is one of the world's leading sports technology platforms and currently scaling their Backend/ Data Engineering team (basically the engine room of the company and the backend team keeping all of their products running!) Domain doesn't matter (FinTech, health tech, data platforms, search infrastructure all translate well), but the technical environment does ***Worked with C#/.NET, GraphQL, Elastic, MongoDB, Kubernetes, or professional experience with video/media at scale. A JVM/Java background is also very welcome.Solid cloud experience (AWS preferred), ideally alongside TDD and CI/CD as standard practiceGenuine technical depth. You've owned hard problems around scalability, data consistency, distributed systems or large-scale data, not just used the toolsA track record of mentoring and technical leadership — code reviews, design reviews, architectural proposals, guiding other engineersThe details
