Backed by €15M in funding and already deployed across 20+ manufacturing facilities, they are scaling rapidly and working with globally recognised enterprise brands in advanced manufacturing and industrial technology.Role OverviewYou’ll join as a Senior Backend Engineer, helping scale a high-throughput AI platform that transforms millions of real-time data events into business-critical insights for enterprise customers operating at global scale.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and build backend services that support large-scale, real-time data processingDevelop APIs and platform capabilities used across customer-facing productsImprove platform performance, reliability, and operational resilienceContribute to architectural decisions that support significant future growthModernise existing systems and reduce technical debt across core servicesWork closely with engineering, AI, and product teams to deliver new capabilitiesOptimise database performance and data flow across production environmentsEnhance cloud infrastructure and deployment processesTake ownership of production stability, monitoring, and troubleshootingPromote engineering best practices, testing standards, and maintainable codeIdentify scalability bottlenecks and propose pragmatic technical solutionsOperate with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced product environmentQualificationsStrong commercial experience developing backend applications with PythonExpertise in building web services and APIs using modern backend frameworksStrong knowledge of relational database design, optimisation, and performance tuningExperience designing systems that handle large volumes of live or event-driven dataHands-on experience working with cloud-native infrastructure and containerised environmentsStrong understanding of software architecture, scalability, and reliability principlesExperience working within CI/CD-driven engineering environmentsBackground in product-focused startups or scaling technology businessesExposure to AI-powered products, data platforms, computer vision, or industrial technologyExperience working with distributed systems or high-throughput processing pipelinesStrong ownership mentality with the ability to make sound technical decisions independentlyPassion for building robust, maintainable, and scalable systemsIf you're excited by the challenge of scaling AI-powered infrastructure, processing massive volumes of real-time data, and helping global organisations unlock new levels of operational performance, we'd love to hear from you.
