Senior Barista

Role Description The Senior Barista role at GAG Coffee in Vadodara is a full-time, on-site position responsible for delivering consistently high-quality coffee and café experiences. Day-to-day tasks include preparing specialty coffee and other beverages to brand standards, handling food preparation, and maintaining cleanliness and safety at the coffee station and seating areas. The Senior Barista will guide junior team members, support inventory checks, and ensure equipment is used and maintained correctly. This role also involves engaging with guests, answering questions about the menu, managing orders and payments, and helping create a welcoming environment that reflects GAG Coffee’s focus on exceptional coffee.QualificationsStrong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, and specialty beverage preparation.Customer service and interpersonal skills to create positive guest experiences and handle busy service periods.Clear communication skills for interacting with guests and coordinating effectively with team members.Food preparation skills with attention to hygiene, safety standards, and consistency in product quality.Previous experience in a café or coffee-focused environment, ideally in a senior or lead barista role.Ability to work flexible hours, stand for extended periods, and manage fast-paced service.Basic cash handling and point-of-sale (POS) system experience.Commitment to learning about coffee origins, brewing methods, and product knowledge to guide guests.
