Team members are encouraged to share their passion for coffee, learn continuously, and contribute to an engaging guest experience.Role Description The Senior Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for leading daily coffee bar operations and ensuring exceptional beverage quality and service. This role includes preparing a range of espresso-based and brewed coffee drinks, calibrating equipment, monitoring quality, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. The Senior Barista supports training and mentoring of baristas, helps manage inventory and ordering, and assists with opening and closing procedures. The role involves engaging with guests, explaining menu offerings, handling cash and POS systems accurately, and upholding health, safety, and hygiene standards. The Senior Barista also collaborates with management on new recipes, seasonal offerings, and improvements to the overall guest experience.Qualifications Strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk texturing, brew methods, and basic equipment troubleshooting.Experience in customer service and hospitality, with the ability to communicate clearly, handle busy periods, and provide a welcoming environment.Team leadership capabilities, including training junior staff, delegating tasks, and supporting a positive, respectful workplace.Operational skills such as cash handling, POS system usage, stock rotation, and basic inventory management.Attention to cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene standards, with commitment to consistent workspace and equipment maintenance.Enthusiasm for specialty coffee, willingness to learn, and ability to share coffee knowledge with guests in an approachable way.Previous experience as a barista in a specialty or high-volume café; supervisory experience is an advantage.Flexible availability, including weekends and peak hours, and the ability to stand for extended periods.
