Senior Barista

At Paramount Hotel Dubai, every detail is part of the experience — and behind every great coffee is someone who knows their craft.We’re looking for a passionate Senior Barista to join our F&B team and bring creativity, consistency and exceptional service to every cup.As our Senior Barista, you’ll lead by example behind the bar, ensuring every beverage meets our standards while supporting and mentoring junior team members. From crafting the perfect espresso to creating memorable guest interactions, you’ll play an important role in making every visit part of the Paramount experience.YOUR ROLE IN THE SPOTLIGHT:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, espresso and specialty beverages with consistency and precision
• Maintain exceptional standards of beverage quality, presentation and taste
• Create and contribute ideas for new drinks and signature beverages
• Engage with guests, understand their preferences and confidently recommend beverages
• Handle guest requests and concerns with professionalism and a genuine service mindset
• Coach and mentor junior baristas in coffee preparation, service standards and product knowledge
• Lead by example and ensure the team consistently follows quality and hygiene standards
• Keep espresso machines, grinders and other equipment clean, functional and well maintained
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and escalate maintenance requirements when needed
• Assist with stock control for coffee, milk, syrups and other beverage supplies
• Monitor waste and support initiatives to improve efficiency and minimize loss
• Support opening and closing procedures and maintain accurate records
• Work closely with the wider F&B team to ensure a smooth and seamless operationWHAT MAKES YOU PARAMOUNT:
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role within a 5-star international hotel or luxury hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of coffee, espresso preparation and standard beverage recipes
• Tertiary education or equivalent qualification
• Excellent spoken and written English
• Experience working in a multicultural environment is an advantage
• Knowledge of MICROS or a similar POS system
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• HACCP knowledge and up-selling skills are an advantage
• Organized, efficient and able to perform under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude
• Passionate about coffee, hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences
