The team is building a culture centered on quality, hospitality, and continuous learning, offering opportunities for professional development within the specialty coffee industry.Role Description The Senior Barista is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for leading daily café operations and delivering an exceptional coffee and customer experience. In this role, the Senior Barista prepares and serves specialty coffee beverages to exacting standards, manages espresso and brewing equipment, and supports food and bakehouse service as needed. The Senior Barista guides and mentors junior baristas, helps maintain inventory and product quality, and ensures that cleanliness, safety, and hygiene standards are consistently met. The role also includes engaging with guests, explaining coffee origins and brewing methods, handling orders and payments, and contributing to a welcoming, efficient, and professional café environment.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, manual brewing methods, and basic equipment troubleshooting.Candidates should possess excellent customer service and interpersonal skills to create a warm, respectful, and inclusive environment for guests and team members.Candidates should possess clear communication skills for interacting with customers, coordinating with the team, and following operational procedures.Candidates should possess food preparation skills relevant to café service, including handling baked goods, maintaining hygiene standards, and following food safety guidelines.Prior experience in a specialty coffee or café setting, ideally in a senior or lead barista position.Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, and remain calm and organized during busy service periods.Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to quality, hospitality, and continuous learning.Familiarity with POS systems and basic cash handling; knowledge of coffee origins and roasting is an advantage.
