The shop offers opportunities for growth, skill development, and leadership for team members who are passionate about coffee and hospitality.Role Description The Senior Barista is a full-time, on-site role based at Jitters in Kullu. This role is responsible for preparing and serving espresso-based drinks, brewed coffee, tea, and specialty beverages to company standards, while ensuring fast, friendly, and accurate service. The Senior Barista oversees daily bar operations, supports inventory and ordering, and helps train and guide junior baristas on recipes, equipment use, and sanitation procedures. Day-to-day tasks include managing the coffee bar setup, maintaining equipment, monitoring quality and presentation, handling cash and POS transactions, and contributing to a clean, safe, and organized environment. The person in this role also assists with menu updates, promotes seasonal offerings, and helps create a positive atmosphere for guests and coworkers.Qualifications Strong barista skills, including espresso extraction, milk steaming, latte art, and specialty drink preparation.Experience with customer service, order taking, and handling cash or POS systems in a café or hospitality setting.Knowledge of coffee beans, brewing methods, and basic café food safety and hygiene practices.Ability to train and mentor team members, delegate tasks, and support smooth shift operations.Good communication, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Prior experience as a barista or in a similar café role; leadership or supervisory experience is an advantage.Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.Basic educational qualification and proficiency in English; additional local language skills are a plus.
