Senior BI / Analytics EngineerSalary Range: $150k to $165kOverviewA growing organization is seeking a Senior BI / Analytics Engineer to help build and scale a modern data and analytics ecosystem. This role will focus on designing and maintaining scalable ELT pipelines, data models, semantic layers, and executive-level dashboards using modern cloud data technologies.The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in dbt, Snowflake, Power BI, and modern ingestion platforms, with a strong foundation in data modeling, analytics engineering, and business intelligence best practices.Key ResponsibilitiesSemantic Layer & Data ModelingDevelop and maintain semantic layers supporting operational and executive reportingCreate dimensional and subject-area data models aligned to business functions including CRM, sales, marketing, finance, operations, compliance, and customer supportStandardize KPIs, metrics, calculations, and business definitions across reporting environmentsCollaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable analytics solutionsData Transformation & ELT OrchestrationDesign, build, and optimize dbt Cloud transformation models including staging, core, and mart layersImplement automated testing frameworks for schema validation, data quality, and business logicManage dbt Cloud job scheduling, orchestration, and deployment workflowsEnsure reliable ingestion-to-transformation-to-delivery pipelinesSnowflake Administration & OptimizationConfigure and manage Snowflake warehouses, roles, permissions, and resource monitorsOptimize warehouse performance, scalability, and cost managementConfigure and maintain connectors and integrations with operational systemsTroubleshoot data pipeline and query performance issuesData Ingestion & IntegrationConfigure and maintain Fivetran connectors and ingestion pipelinesSupport API-based ingestion processes where neededMonitor connector health, schema drift, and incremental loading processesMaintain integrations across multiple enterprise systems and data sourcesAnalytics & Dashboard DevelopmentDesign and develop interactive dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BIBuild advanced DAX calculations, semantic models, dataflows, and row-level security configurationsDeliver analytics solutions supporting Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations teamsProvide end-user training and documentation to support adoption and governanceData Quality & GovernanceImplement automated monitoring, alerts, and data quality controlsMaintain lineage and documentation across analytics and transformation platformsPerform data reconciliation and troubleshooting across multiple source systemsSupport governance, consistency, and reporting accuracy initiativesRequired Qualifications7+ years of experience in BI Engineering, Analytics Engineering, Dashboard Development, or ELT-focused rolesDeep hands-on expertise with dbt including modeling, testing, documentation, and orchestrationStrong experience with Snowflake administration, optimization, and performance tuningAdvanced Power BI experience including:Semantic modelingDAX developmentDataflowsRow-Level Security (RLS)Governance best practicesExperience with Fivetran connectors and API-based data ingestionStrong SQL development and dimensional data modeling skillsExperience integrating and reconciling data from platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, QuickBooks, and call-center systemsStrong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience with Python, C#, or other programming languagesExposure to Azure data services, Functions, or API Gateway technologiesBackground supporting financial services, regulated industries, or compliance-focused environmentsExperience with Power BI administration and enterprise governancePreferred Technical Environmentdbt CloudSnowflakePower BIFivetranSQLSalesforceHubSpotNetSuite / QuickBooksAPI integrationsCloud-based analytics platformsAdditional InformationSenior-level opportunity with high visibility and impactOpportunity to help build and modernize enterprise analytics infrastructureCollaborative, data-driven environmentCompetitive compensation and benefits package available based on experience
