We're looking for passionate professionals to join us as we prepare to open Abu Dhabi's first Time Out Market — a vibrant new destination for food, culture and entertainment under one roof!ABOUT THE ROLEWe love what we do and it shows! Time Out Market is the division of Time Out that brings our food and cultural experiences to life for our guests, readers and clients.Our Market Ambassadors are the first impression of the Market and must provide clear information to each arriving guest to ensure that each enjoys a memorable experience with every visit.WHAT YOU'LL DOMonitor entrance and exit areas and greet guests as they arriveProvide guests information on the Market upon arrival to enhance their knowledge of the operation and their experienceProvide each guest with a sincere thank you upon departure, with an invitation to returnMonitor guests entering and exiting to ensure no outside food or beverage enters the Market, and that no alcoholic beverages leave itInform Market Management and Security of any incidents or potential incidentsPerform all assigned duties detailed in your opening, afternoon and closing checklistsAnswer calls promptly and provide information correctlyComplete all administrative duties competently, efficiently and in a timely mannerMove furniture as directed by management, including tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, boxes and equipmentBe fully conversant with the Company's emergency procedures, policies and employee handbook, the layout of the operation, and the whereabouts of all operational equipmentMaintain a thorough knowledge of all Market vendors, vendor menu offerings and beverage offeringsMaintain a thorough knowledge of surrounding parking and transport accessAssist with and/or complete additional tasks as assignedWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in English, verbally and in writing, with staff, clients and the publicAbility to create and maintain a sense of urgencyA positive attitude, always — plus an open and objective viewAbility to listen empathetically and be respectful at all timesAbility to maintain composure and stay focusedAbility to work as a team, stay organised, handle various projects at once, follow up and make accurate decisionsAbility to handle a fast-paced, busy and somewhat stressful environment, work under pressure and meet deadlinesHigh School Diploma preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United Arab EmiratesWORKING KNOWLEDGEHospitality, restaurant, bar and lounge operationsOpening and closing dutiesGuest relationsSanitation and safetyProper lifting techniquesHigh volume operationsTHE ENVIRONMENTRestaurant environment with varying levels of noise and crowds depending on guest volume.
