Apply & track with Apply EdgeThe ideal candidate will have a strong banking compliance background with hands-on experience in KYC, CIP, CDD, EDD, beneficial ownership, OFAC, adverse media, and BSA/AML regulations. This is a senior-level position that will also provide guidance to junior analysts and support audits, regulatory reviews, and KYC-related projects.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesReview new account and onboarding documentation to ensure compliance with BSA/AML, KYC, CIP, CDD, and EDD requirements.Conduct detailed reviews of customer profiles, including complex corporate and multi-layered ownership structures.Perform Enhanced Due Diligence on higher-risk customers, entities, and relationships.Conduct OFAC, sanctions, adverse media, and background screening using public records, internal systems, and third-party screening platforms.Analyze adverse findings and potential AML/CFT, sanctions, or reputational risks and escalate higher-risk matters to BSA/AML management.Evaluate customer risk profiles using established risk-rating methodologies and regulatory standards.Independently analyze complex KYC and onboarding issues and provide recommendations to management and business partners.Partner with business lines to resolve documentation deficiencies and KYC discrepancies in a timely manner.Provide guidance and training to business units regarding new account documentation, onboarding procedures, and KYC requirements.Serve as a subject matter resource and provide guidance to junior KYC analysts on complex CDD and KYC cases.Assist with internal audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance reviews by gathering documentation and responding to KYC-related inquiries.Support the development and updating of AML/KYC policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and industry standards.Lead or participate in KYC remediation efforts, process improvements, system enhancements, and other compliance projects.Maintain accurate internal logs, reports, customer profiles, and supporting documentation.QualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in BSA/AML, KYC, or financial crimes compliance within a banking environment.Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Criminal Justice, International Business, or a related field preferred.Strong hands-on experience with KYC, CIP, CDD, EDD, OFAC/sanctions screening, adverse media, and beneficial ownership reviews.Strong knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), USA PATRIOT Act, FinCEN requirements, and applicable KYC/AML regulations.Experience reviewing complex corporate structures, including multi-layered and international/offshore entities.Ability to independently evaluate customer risk and escalate potential financial crime or sanctions concerns.Experience assisting with audits, regulatory examinations, remediation projects, and compliance testing.Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to junior KYC analysts.Strong analytical and investigative skills with exceptional attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work effectively with Compliance, Operations, business lines, and senior management.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Experience with KYC/AML screening platforms such as World-Check or similar systems preferred.CAMS/ACAMS certification preferred.
