Role on behalf of Luxoft Financial Services UK Limited Australia BranchProject descriptionAn opportunity is available for a Senior Business Analyst to join our client, a prominent Australian financial institution, as a key contributor to the analysis, design, and development of their OTC derivative clearing platform. This role is part of a major transformation program within the capital markets landscape. The work encompasses specialized areas such as new trade processes, risk interface development with the trading platform, regulatory reporting enhancements, and involvement with industry-leading equities and derivatives clearing platforms. ResponsibilitiesThe role is responsible for assessing new concepts against current systems and procedures, analysing stakeholder needs from an end-to-end perspective, engaging internal and external clients through various facilitation techniques and mediums, and providing high quality, fit for purpose business analysis artefactsBe an active and vocal member of the Markets transformation team, bringing your past experience in transformation programs and adapting it to a strong client culture.Work with impacted stakeholders to perform deep dives and discovery on the As-Is state of clearing risk management systems for derivatives products, allowing for effective review by project team members and impacted stakeholders.Liaise with assigned Product Owners and Development teams for prioritisation, elicitation and analysis of new business requests within the program.Work with impacted stakeholders to perform deep dives and discovery on the As-Is state of clearing risk management systems for derivatives products, allowing for effective review by project team members and impacted stakeholders.Liaise with assigned Product Owners and Development teams for prioritisation, elicitation and analysis of new business requests within the program.SkillsMust haveThe role demands over five years of expertise in capital markets, with a focus on derivatives products and back-office processes. Candidates are expected to apply this knowledge to effectively manage and improve related workflows. Additionally, a thorough understanding of agile methodologies is essential to contribute successfully within project environments.Hard skills include:In-depth knowledge of capital markets products, specifically interest rate derivatives and fixed income instruments.Proficiency in requirements gathering, process mapping, stakeholder management, and comprehensive documentation.Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and delivery artifacts.Extensive experience in agile delivery practices such as user story creation, backlog refinement, and supporting user acceptance testing.Familiarity with digital banking, financial services, or enterprise platforms is beneficial.Soft skills required encompass:Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across various organizational levels, emphasizing stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and adaptability.Analytical thinking paired with meticulous problem-solving capabilities.Capacity to prioritize tasks and perform efficiently in fast-paced environments.While techno-functional expertise is advantageous, it is not a requirement for this role.Nice to haveBasic technical knowledge in Database, Java, XML and issue analysis using application server logs.Working experience with Central banks, Central Clearing HouseCFA / FRM or other BA certifications are desirableCustomer Centricunderstanding the needs of our internal and external customers and ensuring that solutions developed meet / exceed these needs.
