Senior Business Analyst - Digital Assets & Capital MarketsDomain: Capital Markets, TradFi & DeFi (Digital Assets)Position Type: ContractMethodology: Agile / ScrumHybrid / Remote: 2 days onsite in AmsterdamRole OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Functional Analyst with 8-12 years of experience in Financial Services to bridge the gap between traditional capital markets (TradFi) and the evolving digital assets space (DeFi). In this role, you will lead requirement discovery, define end-to-end workflows for digital and traditional asset platforms, and translate complex business requirements into functional specifications. You will operate as a core bridge between trading desks, custody operations, compliance, and engineering teams, occasionally acting as a Proxy Product Owner to drive delivery outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirement Engineering: Lead discovery sessions to translate complex business needs into functional specifications, user stories, data flows, and API integration requirements.End-to-End Workflow Design: Define comprehensive workflows spanning onboarding, trading, settlement, custody, and asset servicing across both digital and traditional securities.Agile Leadership: Support all core Scrum ceremonies, manage backlog grooming and prioritization, and act as a Proxy Product Owner to ensure scalable, production-ready delivery.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with front offices, trading desks, risk, compliance (AML/KYC), and engineering teams to ensure seamless system interoperability and successful UAT.Key Requirements & SkillsCapital Markets Foundation: 8–12 years of banking or financial services experience with a deep understanding of the securities lifecycle, trade execution, settlement, and reconciliation.Digital Asset Expertise: Direct, hands-on experience with digital assets, cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, crypto custody, wallets (e.g., Fireblocks, BitGo, Anchorage), or tokenized Real-World Assets (RWA).Technical Interface: Strong command of requirement translation (Business - Functional - Technical) and mapping out API integrations or Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) platform dependencies.Compliance Savvy: Solid exposure to institutional transaction monitoring, KYC, AML, and regulatory frameworks governing digital assets.
