Job Code: JPC - 6272Job Title: Senior Business AnalystJob Location: Abu DhabiContract Duration: 2 Years RenewableJob PurposeThe Senior Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, documenting, validating, and managing business requirements while translating business needs into clear functional and technical specifications. The role acts as the key liaison between business stakeholders, project teams, and technical teams to ensure solutions align with organizational objectives, improve operational efficiency, and deliver measurable business value.The role also supports product ownership activities by managing and prioritizing the product backlog, facilitating Agile delivery, and ensuring successful implementation of business and digital transformation initiatives.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Requirements ManagementEngage with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and non-functional requirements. Conduct workshops, interviews, and requirement-gathering sessions to identify business needs and improvement opportunities. Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, and use cases. Perform business process analysis, process mapping, gap analysis, and impact assessments. Ensure business requirements are complete, accurate, traceable, and aligned with organizational objectives. Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating business outcomes, and coordinating defect resolution. Backlog Management & PrioritizationDevelop, maintain, and continuously refine a prioritized product backlog aligned with business strategy and product roadmap. Create well-defined user stories with clear acceptance criteria for development teams. Prioritize backlog items based on business value, risk, dependencies, and stakeholder priorities. Review and adjust backlog priorities to accommodate changing business requirements and market conditions. Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, project managers, product owners, and technical teams. Facilitate effective communication between business and development teams to ensure shared understanding of project objectives. Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and requirement changes. Build strong working relationships across departments to support successful project delivery. Agile Delivery & Project SupportParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives. Provide ongoing clarification of requirements to development teams throughout the software development lifecycle. Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure solutions meet business, usability, and user experience requirements. Support project planning, scope management, change requests, and implementation activities. Monitor solution delivery to ensure alignment with approved business requirements. Analysis & Continuous ImprovementIdentify opportunities to improve business processes, workflows, and operational efficiency. Analyze business data and performance metrics to support informed decision-making. Recommend innovative technology and process improvements to enhance business performance. Maintain business analysis documentation in accordance with organizational standards and governance. QualificationsBachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Master's degree is an advantage. ExperienceMinimum 5 8 years of experience in Business Analysis, Product Ownership, Digital Transformation, or related roles. Proven experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments. Experience delivering enterprise applications, digital solutions, or business transformation initiatives. Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and software development teams. Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Business Analysis methodologies, including:Business Process Mapping Gap Analysis SWOT Analysis Use Cases User Stories Process Modeling Experience with requirements management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar platforms. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis techniques. Working knowledge of SQL, databases, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC). Strong knowledge of Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and Waterfall methodologies. Experience with UML, BPMN, or process modeling tools is an advantage.
