Senior Business Analyst

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support a large-scale technology transformation and migration programme within a complex enterprise environment.This role is focused on discovery, dependency mapping, impact assessment, and operational readiness.You will play a key role in helping the programme understand how applications, infrastructure, services, data flows, and operational processes interact, ensuring migration and cutover activities can be executed safely and successfully.Key ResponsibilitiesDependency Discovery & AnalysisIdentify and document applications, services, infrastructure components, and operational assets across multiple enterprise systems and repositories.Analyse relationships and dependencies between technology services and business processes.Assess the quality and completeness of existing configuration and dependency information.Identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.Establish ownership and accountability for critical systems and services.End-to-End Dependency MappingCreate comprehensive dependency maps covering applications, infrastructure, business processes, integrations, and operational teams.Develop clear traceability between technology assets and business outcomes.Identify upstream and downstream impacts associated with migration and transformation activities.Produce dependency models that support delivery, operations, and governance teams.Impact Assessment & Cutover PlanningSupport impact assessments for migration and cutover events.Identify affected systems, users, customers, operational teams, and external stakeholders.Provide analysis to support programme decision-making and readiness reviews.Ensure impact assessments are evidence-based and linked to validated dependency data.Stakeholder EngagementFacilitate workshops with architects, engineers, operational teams, SMEs, and business stakeholders.Validate dependency models and impact assessments with relevant experts.Resolve conflicting information gathered from multiple sources.Build strong relationships across programme and operational teams.Operational Readiness & GovernanceCreate and maintain dependency maps, impact assessments, service models, and supporting documentation.Contribute to readiness reviews, migration plans, governance documentation, and operational assessments.Prepare reporting materials for programme leadership and governance forums.Maintain a controlled repository of programme artefacts and analysis outputs.Risk ManagementIdentify risks arising from incomplete dependency information or unclear ownership.Escalate issues that could impact migration readiness or programme delivery.Ensure all documentation and analysis are structured, auditable, and aligned with governance requirements.Support operational risk and compliance activities where required.Required Experience & SkillsBusiness Analysis5+ years of Business Analysis experience within complex technology environments.Proven experience in discovery activities, process analysis, dependency mapping, service modelling, or impact assessments.Experience supporting large-scale transformation, migration, or modernisation programmes.Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.Technical & Operational UnderstandingSolid understanding of application, infrastructure, service, and operational dependencies.Experience working with CMDB platforms and IT Service Management processes.Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or similar enterprise platforms.Familiarity with operational readiness, release management, migration, or cutover planning.Good understanding of enterprise technology environments, including infrastructure and networking concepts.Nice to HaveUnderstanding of SDLC and Agile delivery environments.Exposure to cloud platforms and container-based technologies.Familiarity with ITSM frameworks and service management best practices.Experience working in highly regulated or mission-critical environments.Analytical & Communication SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Ability to consolidate information from multiple complex and fragmented sources.Comfortable working with ambiguity and incomplete information.Excellent documentation, modelling, and visualisation skills.Strong influencing, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
