Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout Position:We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst with strong expertise in Capital Markets, Banking, and Regulatory Reporting to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Liquidity Reporting, Solvency Reporting, FINREP, COREP, and regulatory data management processes. This role will involve working closely with business stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, data owners, application SMEs, and technology teams to support regulatory reporting initiatives, data lineage analysis, business process transformation, and compliance programs. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring data accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance across enterprise reporting platforms.Role: Senior Business Analyst
What You'll Do
Gather, analyze, and document business and regulatory reporting requirements.Work closely with business stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, and technical teams to define functional solutions.Analyze regulatory reporting data chains and understand how application data contributes to regulatory submissions and key data outputs.Support Liquidity, Solvency, FINREP, COREP, and other regulatory reporting processes.Conduct business process analysis and identify opportunities for process improvements and compliance enhancements.Define and document business requirements, functional specifications, data mappings, and process flows.Perform data lineage analysis and trace data movement across upstream and downstream systems.Validate source-to-target mappings and assess data transformation logic.Identify and assess Critical Data Elements (CDEs) and ensure alignment with business definitions.Collaborate with Application SMEs and Data Owners to understand data ownership, usage, and reporting requirements.Conduct impact analysis for regulatory and business changes.Support implementation of BCBS239 and data governance initiatives.Participate in user acceptance testing, business validation, and defect resolution activities.Support data quality assessments and reconciliation processes.Assist in reviewing AI-generated outputs and validating data accuracy and business relevance.Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirement gathering sessions, and governance meetings.Prepare business requirement documents, functional specifications, and reporting documentation.Provide regular updates and insights to business stakeholders and leadership teams.Support enterprise regulatory compliance and reporting transformation initiatives.Expertise You'll Bring:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.9-15 years of experience in Business Analysis within Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets organizations.Strong expertise in Regulatory Reporting and Financial Reporting domains.Deep understanding of Liquidity Reporting and Solvency Reporting frameworks.Hands-on experience with FINREP, COREP, and regulatory reporting processes.Strong knowledge of Capital Markets and Banking Operations.Experience supporting regulatory compliance and reporting transformation programs.Strong understanding of regulatory reporting data chains and reporting workflows.Expertise in business analysis, functional analysis, and stakeholder management.Experience performing data lineage analysis and source-to-target data mapping.Understanding of upstream and downstream data dependencies.Experience identifying and managing Critical Data Elements (CDEs).Strong understanding of BCBS239 data governance principles.Knowledge of Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) and Net Stable Funding Ratio (NSFR).Experience assessing data quality, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting controls.Ability to analyze complex business processes and identify hidden transformations and control points.Experience working with application SMEs, reporting teams, and business stakeholders.Familiarity with AI-assisted analysis and validation of AI-generated outputs.Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and investigative skills.Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management capabilities.Experience working in large-scale BFSI transformation and regulatory compliance programs.Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
