By connecting business needs with innovative technology solutions, organizations can improve efficiency, accelerate decision-making, and deliver greater value to their stakeholders.We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join an international project within the Financial Services sector, contributing to the evolution of strategic data ecosystems and helping drive business transformation through modern technologies, data integration, and process optimization.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring business needs are accurately translated into functional requirementsGather, analyse, document, and manage business requirements through workshops, interviews, and stakeholder discussionsCreate User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, Process Maps, and functional specifications to support Agile deliveryManage and prioritize backlogs, ensuring alignment with business objectives and MVP deliveryAnalyse current business processes ("As-Is") and design optimized future workflows ("To-Be")Identify process improvement opportunities, automation initiatives, and digital transformation enhancementsCollaborate closely with developers, testers, and business users throughout the solution lifecycleDefine testing strategies and design complex Integration System Testing (IST) scenarios focused on APIs, data flows, and system integrationsCoordinate Functional Testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring successful validation and deploymentPerform deep analysis of data ecosystems to identify data quality issues, inconsistencies, and process improvementsSupport initiatives involving APIs, data virtualization, and modern data integration technologiesPresent findings, recommendations, and project progress to both technical and non-technical stakeholdersSkills & Experience4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or a similar role within IT environmentsStrong experience in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder managementExpertise in User Stories, Use Cases, Acceptance Criteria, Business Rules, and Process ModellingExperience with BPMN, UML, or other process modelling methodologiesStrong understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, sprint planning, and MVP-driven deliveryExperience designing and executing Integration System Testing (IST), Functional Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)Experience analysing data quality, data flows, and complex data ecosystemsExperience with ALM Octane, Jira, and ConfluenceStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and presentation abilitiesFluent English (mandatory)📍 LocationPorto – Hybrid (3x/office)Why Empa‑T?At Empa‑T, we value empathy, integrity, and collaboration.We work on impactful projects in innovative and international environments, where technology, data, and business converge to drive transformation.
