The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in ZEMA Analyzer, oil & gas market data, forward curve construction, commodity pricing, and ETRM/CTRM processes.This role will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams, translating trading and risk requirements into scalable solutions while ensuring the integrity, governance, and accuracy of market data, pricing curves, and analytical reporting.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Analysis & Stakeholder ManagementCollaborate with traders, risk managers, schedulers, settlements, finance, and operations teams to gather business requirements.Translate trading and risk workflows into detailed functional specifications, process maps, user stories, and acceptance criteria.Lead requirement workshops, process reviews, gap analyses, and stakeholder meetings.Serve as the primary liaison between business users, IT teams, data teams, and third-party vendors.ZEMA Analyzer & Market Data ManagementConfigure and maintain ZEMA Analyzer reports, dashboards, profiles, data views, and curve structures.Define and manage requirements for market prices, forward curves, fundamentals, and reference data.Build and validate derived curves, spreads, formulas, and time-series transformations.Monitor data quality, troubleshoot discrepancies, and coordinate issue resolution with data providers and vendors.Develop documentation and provide training for end users on ZEMA processes and best practices.Commodity Pricing & Forward Curve AnalyticsBuild, maintain, and validate forward curves for crude oil, refined products, natural gas, and NGLs.Map market price assessments from sources such as Platts, Argus, OPIS, NYMEX, and ICE to pricing models and contracts.Support commodity pricing methodologies, index calculations, settlement pricing, and valuation models.Analyze curve movements and provide explanations to trading and risk teams.Establish curve governance standards, methodologies, approval controls, and audit processes.Trading & Risk Management SupportSupport P&L reporting, mark-to-market valuation, position management, and exposure analysis.Gather and define requirements for VaR, Greeks, credit exposure, hedging, and risk limit monitoring.Assist trading and risk teams with data validation, valuation processes, and risk controls.Project Delivery & TestingParticipate in ETRM/CTRM implementations, market data integrations, and reporting initiatives.Create test plans, test cases, and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Support production deployments, go-live activities, and post-implementation support.Maintain business documentation including process flows, business rules, and data dictionaries.Present recommendations, findings, and project updates to senior leadership.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.10+ years of Business Analysis experience.5+ years of experience within Energy Trading, Commodity Trading, Risk Management, or ETRM environments.Strong hands-on experience with ZEMA Analyzer (ZE PowerGroup).Deep understanding of physical and financial commodity trading lifecycles.5+ years of experience in oil & gas pricing, market data management, and forward curve construction.Strong knowledge of:WTI, Brent, Henry Hub, Mont BelvieuCommodity benchmarks and differentialsMark-to-Market (MTM)P&L AttributionVaR and Exposure ManagementAdvanced Excel skills including Power Query, Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, and Data Validation.Experience writing business requirements, user stories, process documentation, and test cases.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred QualificationsExperience with ETRM/CTRM platforms such as:EndurRightAngleAllegroTriple PointKnowledge of ZEMA Data Manager, ZEMA Validator, and ZEMA API integrations.Experience working with market data providers:PlattsArgusOPISCME/ICEEIAIEASQL proficiency and experience with Databricks or Snowflake.Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Python, or R.Agile/Scrum delivery experience using Jira or Azure DevOps.CBAP, PMI-PBA, or related Business Analysis certifications.
