Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager – Finance Transformation

We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager – Finance Transformation to join a leading financial institution on a multi-year transformation program. This role sits within the Wealth Management business and supports the Group Finance objective to consolidate data onto the Group platform OFS (One Financial System).You will act as a key liaison between HO Finance in Europe (sponsor / Product Owner), users across Asia and Europe, and various source system teams. The position blends senior business analysis with project management discipline, requiring you to drive requirements gathering, impact analysis, solution design, UAT, and full delivery lifecycle activities. You will ensure functional mappings and data comply with both local and Group expectations while helping to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting.This is a hands-on role for someone who can operate as a subject matter expert (SME) from the Technology team, manage stakeholder workshops, document functional specifications, and oversee project governance through to production.⇒ Main ResponsibilitiesSME from Technology team responsible to analyze the impact of GL accounting setup/changes in core banking system and the impact on Financial Reporting.Perform study with the Group Finance to align on the requirements, data mappings and functionalities/scope.Organize workshops with respective stakeholders and assess business needs.Drive and plan the application impact analysis after Business workshop.Ensure the functional mappings/data comply with local and Group expectations.Document detailed business requirements and functional specifications.Business requirements consolidation and formal validation from sponsor/product owner.Translate the requirements into non-functional specification for technology teams to develop.Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure a smooth transition to new systems.Identify any bottlenecks and recommend improvements.Collaborate with technology teams to ensure seamless integration and development of the application or data interface flows.Work with various Stakeholders to implement the deliverables and to resolve challenges and issues.Involvement in full development lifecycle, from Elaboration -> Build -> SIT -> UAT -> Production.Responsible for the organization of the work in each project phase.Build and maintain the Demand Backlog and plan release scope based on estimation and capacity.Work with the development team, Business analyst, Solution architects, Application SMEs to design the functional solutions.Prepare Project governance deliverables required for each project release.Manage arbitration with business stakeholders.Monitor and control the deliveries of projects.Anticipate and mitigate risks and issues over the whole project course.Drive, organize all deliverables, monitor and track the progress to closure.⇒ Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree or equivalent.At least 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst.Strong functional knowledge in Accounting, Finance reporting, Recon process, Liquidity management, Credit risk and Local Regulatory Reporting (in order of priority).Strong Business Analysis experience in a Technology team, working on impact analysis, data quality, data reconciliation, data mapping, etc., and solid functional specification and presentation documentation skills to illustrate user cases to business stakeholders and developers.Prior experience in implementing technology projects for the finance domain in Wealth Management Banking service.Hands-on experience in one or more of the following: Financial Accounting (transaction movements, accruals, reversals for Trading and Banking book); Liquidity Management; Credit-risk (Collateral Management, Counterparty Risk); Regulatory Reporting (Basel IV, SACCR preferred); Core banking (Loan/Deposit lifecycle); Data quality, Finance closing and recon process.Demonstrable experience in a similar role in the Banking / Wealth Management industry.Good working knowledge of WM investment product life cycle.Good knowledge and understanding of information flow and various business functions in a financial services/bank.Knowledge of Accounting/Finance system implementation lifecycle.Experience working throughout the entire IT project life cycle, including analyzing and documenting requirements, workshops, testing and stakeholder management.Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.Able to conduct workshops with business teams and challenge requirements.Collaborate effectively with teams and groups spread across various regions.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Ability to collaborate and communicate with multiple teams and stakeholders to maintain harmony.Background from Business Analyst and transitioned to PM would be value added.Ability to share / pass on knowledge.Ability to deliver / results driven.Ability to understand, explain and support change.Ability to develop and adapt a process.Analytical ability.Ability to anticipate business / strategic evolution.Ability to manage / facilitate a meeting, seminar, committee, training.
