Senior Business Analyst - Reinsurance

Business Analyst – Reinsurance | LNC SearchLNC Search is partnering with a leading insurance organization to identify an experienced Business Analyst with deep Reinsurance expertise.This is an opportunity for a hands-on BA to work across Reinsurance, Finance, Underwriting, Claims, and Technology, translating complex business needs into clear requirements and supporting solutions from discovery through delivery.What you’ll be doing:

• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs, identify process gaps, and drive improvements
• Translate requirements into Epics, Features, User Stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications
• Analyze and document current- and future-state reinsurance processes
• Support process optimization, automation, and internal controls
• Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and process-mapping activities
• Support testing, QA, UAT, defect resolution, and production stabilization
• Collaborate with third-party technology/vendor teams on enhancements and issue resolution
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, backlog refinement, and sprint planning
• Help improve documentation, processes, and overall platform capabilitiesWhat we’re looking for:
• 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Insurance/Reinsurance
• Strong hands-on knowledge of Assumed & Direct Business within P&C insurance
• Understanding of Treaty and Facultative Reinsurance, Proportional and Non-Proportional structures, premium administration, claims, retrocession, bordereaux, and regulatory reporting
• Experience translating business requirements into user stories and functional documentation
• Strong analytical, facilitation, testing, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with SQL, advanced Excel/VBA, Agile delivery tools, and reinsurance technology platforms
• Ability to effectively bridge business, actuarial, and technology teams
