Senior Business Interpreter (Chinese–Russian)

Apply & track with Apply EdgeResponsibilities:1. Provide Chinese–Russian interpretation and consecutive interpretation for senior management meetings, business negotiations and project discussions.2. Support key communications with local partners, project counterparties, government authorities, professional service providers and suppliers in Kazakhstan.3. Prepare project background, terminology and key discussion points in advance and accurately convey management’s core messages and business intentions.4. Capture context, logic, tone and underlying intent rather than translating literally, minimizing communication gaps caused by language and cultural differences.5. Translate, review and proofread important business documents, meeting materials, reports and correspondence in Chinese and Russian.6. Review Russian translations prepared by other employees and standardize key business and project terminology.7. Support cross-cultural communication and advise management on differences in business practices and communication styles.8. Provide full language support during mining-site visits, business trips and external meetings.9. Maintain strict confidentiality regarding company operations, investments, projects and commercial information.10. Perform other translation and business communication duties assigned by management.Qulifications:1. Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Russian, Translation, International Business, International Relations or related fields are preferred.2. Full professional proficiency in Chinese and Russian with fast, accurate and natural switching between both languages.3. Preferably 5+ years of Chinese–Russian business or conference interpretation experience; executive-meeting and negotiation experience is preferred.4. Strong on-site and consecutive interpreting skills for fast-paced, multi-party meetings and negotiations.5. Strong business comprehension, logical analysis and on-the-spot response skills.6. Experience in mining, energy, engineering, M&A, legal or government affairs is preferred.7. Strong English skills are preferred; exceptional Chinese–Russian capability may compensate for average English proficiency.8. High professional ethics, discretion and confidentiality.9. Willingness to accept a long-term assignment in Kazakhstan and travel to mining sites.
