You will manage sourcing and procurement for the mechanical, electrical, and electronic components that go into our robotics and automation systems, as well as the materials that support our Lean Manufacturing product line.This role reports directly on company leadership and works closely with our engineering, production, and project management teams. If you want a seat at the table rather than a queue of purchase orders, this is that role.What You'll DoSource and purchase mechanical components, electrical parts, fabricated materials, and finished goods to support engineering and production schedulesIdentify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers; negotiate pricing, lead times, and payment termsManage supplier relationships and hold vendors accountable for on-time delivery and qualityIssue and track purchase orders through delivery; expedite when schedules are at riskWork with engineering to source components for new designs and custom buildsMonitor inventory levels and coordinate with production to prevent shortages and reduce excess stockManage cross-border logistics and documentation for shipments between the U.S. and MexicoMaintain accurate supplier records, pricing history, and lead time data in QuickBooksIdentify cost savings opportunities and alternate sources for critical single-source componentsWhat We're Looking ForRequired3+ years of purchasing, procurement, or buying experienceExperience in manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environmentAbility to read and understand basic engineering drawings, BOMs, and technical specificationsStrong negotiation skills and comfort dealing directly with suppliersProficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft ExcelExcellent written and verbal communication in EnglishAuthorized to work in the United StatesPreferredBilingual English/Spanish — a significant advantage given our supplier and customer base in MexicoKorean language ability is a plus for communication with our Korean-based suppliers and partnersExperience sourcing electrical, electronic, or mechanical componentsFamiliarity with cross-border trade, customs documentation, or IMMEX/maquiladora operationsBachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fieldCompensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary based on experienceMedical insurancePaid time off (PTO)Year-end bonus and holiday time off (discretionary, based on company performance)Growth path toward Purchasing Manager for the right candidateHow to ApplyPlease email your resume to hr@ams-fa.com.
