Working at 3D Machine Company Inc. offers opportunities to contribute to a growing business, develop professional skills, and support complex manufacturing projects.Position Summary The Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, outside processing (OSP), and supplier relationships to ensure materials and production capacity are available to meet customer delivery commitments while optimizing cost, quality, and efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesOutside Processing (OSP) ManagementManage the complete Outside Processing (OSP) lifecycle, including supplier selection, purchase order issuance, scheduling, and delivery coordination.Monitor OSP supplier performance for quality, delivery, responsiveness, and cost.Negotiate pricing, lead times, and service agreements with OSP suppliers.Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.Raw Material Sourcing & ProcurementSource and procure raw materials, including metals, fasteners, hardware, and other production-related materials.Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), evaluate supplier proposals, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.Maintain appropriate inventory levels to support production while minimizing excess inventory.Monitor commodity market trends and communicate cost risks, supply constraints, and cost-saving opportunities to management.Purchasing & ERP ManagementManage the complete purchase order lifecycle, including purchase order creation, supplier acknowledgments, order revisions, receipt coordination, and invoice reconciliation.Maintain accurate ERP system data, including supplier information, lead times, pricing, and purchasing parameters.Ensure purchasing transactions comply with company policies and support inventory accuracy.Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Accounting to ensure timely material availability and resolve procurement-related issues.QualificationsRequired3–5 years of Buyer experience in a manufacturing environment (aerospace, defense, or precision machining preferred).Demonstrated experience managing Outside Processing (OSP) suppliers and raw material commodity purchasing.Experience with ERP systems and inventory management.Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.PreferredBachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.Familiarity with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems.CompensationPay: NegotiableBenefits401(k)Health insuranceDental insurancePaid time offWork LocationLocation: In personAnaheim, California
