Senior Buyer

Senior Buyer paying up to $80K for a global manufacturing company in the Dallas (Carrollton) area. The Senior Buyer will be responsible for providing parts, equipment and materials by developing sources of supply and monitoring supplier performance. The successful candidate will manage and control inventory, verify receipt of items and authorize payments.This is an ON-SITE DIRECT HIRE position and is available IMMEDIATELY!RESPONSIBILIITES:Process purchase requests with domestic and international suppliers, including entering purchase orders, expediting deliveries, and verifying transaction accuracyManage supplier correspondence related to discrepancies such as over-shipments, shortages, pricing changes, quantity adjustments, and delivery delays, communicating updates to relevant stakeholders in a timely mannerPartner with the Purchasing Manager to prepare and issue RFQs/RFPs and evaluate supplier quotes and proposalsServe as a liaison between suppliers and internal departments to resolve procurement and supply chain issuesCoordinate non-conforming material requests and process Return Material Authorization (RMA) requests with supply chain partnersMonitor and maintain inventory levels in alignment with company targets and management directivesMaintain accurate commodity and supplier data within Epicor, including lead times, pricing, supplier records, and purchase order informationMonitor and maintain Epicor system parameters (minimum, maximum, safety stock, and current inventory levels) and recommend adjustments as neededTrack supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to product specifications; maintain documentation and supplier performance records to support ongoing vendor managementOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree is requiredCPM or APICS certification is highly preferredMust have a minimum of 5 years of related procurement experience including purchasing, inventory control and supplier relationshipsKnowledge of MRP processes (Epicor is a strong plus)Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookKnowledge of import freightStrong knowledge of procuring electronic components, understanding technical specifications, and interacting well with Engineering, quality control and production teamsBe able to work in a high demanding environmentStrong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlinesTeam player
