قدّم وتابع مع أبلاي إيدجSenior Buyer (Medical Device / Supply Chain)Job DescriptionOur client, a growing manufacturer of advanced medical technology, is seeking a Senior Buyer (Medical Device/Supply Chain) to join their Supply Chain team in Carlsbad, CA. This individual will play a key role in developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, negotiating commercial agreements, and ensuring a reliable supply of materials that support production.This is a highly collaborative position that partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Finance to improve supplier performance, reduce costs, and strengthen the overall supply chain. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing within a regulated manufacturing environment and possess strong negotiation, supplier management, and strategic sourcing expertise. Experience with electronic and electromechanical components is highly desirable.Day-to-DayDevelop and execute sourcing strategies across multiple commodity categories, including electronic components, PCB/PCBA assemblies, plastics, machined parts, contract manufacturing, and packaging.Build and maintain strategic relationships with domestic and international suppliers while driving performance improvements.Lead supplier selection through RFQs, supplier evaluations, pricing analysis, and commercial negotiations.Place purchase orders and manage procurement activities to support manufacturing schedules.Partner with Quality to address supplier performance issues and implement corrective actions when necessary.Identify alternate suppliers and sourcing strategies to reduce supply chain risk and improve business continuity.Support New Product Introduction (NPI) by sourcing components and coordinating supplier readiness.Manage engineering changes and product lifecycle updates to ensure uninterrupted production.Monitor inventory levels and expedite critical materials to minimize manufacturing disruptions.Drive annual cost savings through supplier negotiations, value engineering initiatives, dual sourcing, and inventory optimization.Develop and improve procurement processes, workflows, and supplier management practices.Requirements / QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered).Minimum 5 years of purchasing, commodity management, or strategic sourcing experience.Experience working within medical device, life sciences, aerospace, or another highly regulated manufacturing environment.Strong background managing supplier relationships and negotiating commercial agreements.Experience sourcing electronic components, electromechanical assemblies, PCB/PCBAs, plastics, machined components, or contract manufacturing services.Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite experience preferred).Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.Excellent analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
