We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Buyer to support procurement operations within the aerospace industry. This role is responsible for sourcing and purchasing raw materials, components, and services that meet stringent aerospace quality, regulatory, and delivery standards. The Buyer will work closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to ensure compliance with industry requirements while maintaining cost efficiency and supply chain reliability.Minimum Qualifications:2+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in aerospace or manufacturingBasic understanding of aerospace standards (AS9100, ISO, FAA requirementsStrong negotiation, communication, and analytical skillProven proficiency in Power BI to build interactive dashboards and data modelsStrong understanding of database management principles, data structures, and integrityMastery of Microsoft Office, with mandatory expertise in advanced Excel functions (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data manipulation)Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related fieldExperience in the aerospace, defense, or aviation industryFamiliarity with ERP/MRP systems (ProShop, SAP, Oracle, etc.)Knowledge of technical drawings, specifications, and bill of materials (BOM)Experience with supplier quality requirements and auditsProfessional certification (CPSM, CPM)Responsibilities:Source and procure aerospace components, raw materials, and services in alignment with engineering and production requirementsEvaluate and select suppliers that meet aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations)Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and contracts to ensure cost-effective purchasingCreate and manage purchase orders, ensuring accurate documentation and traceabilityMonitor supplier performance regarding quality, on-time delivery, and complianceCollaborate with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to meet technical specificationsEnsure compliance with regulatory requirements and company quality standardsTrack inventory levels and coordinate material availability to support production schedulesIdentify supply chain risks and implement mitigation strategiesMaintain detailed procurement records for audit and compliance purposesSkills:Aerospace Procurement & ComplianceSupplier Qualification & ManagementCost Analysis & NegotiationInventory & Production PlanningERP/MRP SystemsAttention to Detail & AccuracyRisk ManagementCross-Functional CollaborationWork Environment:Combination of office, manufacturing floor, and test environmentsMay require occasional extended hours to support schedules, testing, or deadlinesCompensation & Benefits:Competitive salary based on experienceBenefits package including health insurance, PTO, 401K and paid holidaysOpportunity to grow with the company and take on increasing responsibilityEqual Opportunity Statement:L&E Tubing, LLC dba Lafarge and Egge is an equal opportunity employer.
