You'll work closely with project teams and senior stakeholders, lead sourcing and tender activity, negotiate with suppliers and support commercial agreements while identifying opportunities to reduce cost, improve supplier performance and strengthen procurement processes.The RoleYou'll be responsible for:Leading sourcing activity across indirect spendSupporting procurement requirements for CAPEX and OPEX projectsManaging RFQs, tenders and commercial evaluationsNegotiating pricing, terms and commercial agreements with suppliersWorking closely with project teams, Buyers and Category LeadsIdentifying and developing new and alternative suppliersUsing spend and market analysis to support sourcing decisionsDelivering measurable cost savings and cost avoidanceSupporting supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery and serviceSupporting contract development alongside internal stakeholders and LegalDriving procurement compliance and continuous improvementProviding operational Buyer support when requiredAbout YouWe're looking for someone with established sourcing/procurement experience, ideally within indirect procurement.You'll ideally bring:Strong supplier negotiation and commercial experienceExperience running RFQs/tenders and evaluating suppliersContracting and commercial agreement experienceStrong stakeholder-management skillsExperience identifying and delivering procurement savingsAn analytical approach to spend, suppliers and market informationExperience within engineering, manufacturing, energy or another complex industrial environment would be advantageousCAPEX/OPEX procurement experience would be particularly relevantCIPS Level 4+, MCIPS or an equivalent procurement, supply chain, business or engineering qualification is preferredA continuous-improvement/Lean mindsetThis position would suit an experienced Senior Buyer, Strategic Buyer, Sourcing Specialist, Procurement Specialist, Project Buyer or Sourcing Lead looking for greater ownership within a global engineering environment.The package includes 35 days' holiday, employer pension contributions up to 10%, private medical insurance, income protection, life assurance, flexible/hybrid working, EV scheme and extensive additional benefits.
