Senior Buyer

Carolina PRG is partnering with a growing organization in the Charlotte market to identify an experienced Senior Buyer to join their team. This position will play an important role in supporting purchasing activities, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and services are available to meet business and operational needs.The ideal candidate will bring strong purchasing experience, excellent supplier management skills, and the ability to work cross functionally in a fast paced environment.ResponsibilitiesManage the purchasing process for assigned materials, products, and servicesIssue and manage purchase orders from creation through deliveryPartner with suppliers to negotiate pricing, lead times, terms, and service levelsMonitor inventory levels and purchasing requirements to support business needsTrack open purchase orders and proactively address shortages, delays, and other supply issuesDevelop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliersEvaluate supplier performance related to cost, quality, delivery, and serviceIdentify opportunities for cost savings and purchasing efficienciesSupport sourcing initiatives and supplier selectionWork closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, and other internal teamsReview purchasing trends, spend, and supplier data to support business decisionsAssist with resolving invoice, pricing, and receiving discrepanciesMaintain accurate purchasing and supplier information within the ERP systemSupport continuous improvement initiatives across the purchasing and supply chain functionQualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experienceExperience working in a manufacturing, distribution, or similar environment preferredStrong supplier negotiation and relationship management experienceExperience working within an ERP systemStrong Excel and analytical skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast paced environmentStrong communication and problem solving skills
