Senior Buyer

ProspectBlue is seeking a Senior Buyer for its client in Richmond, VA!You will own item positions, manage supplier negotiations, and serve as a key connector between our sales, QA, sustainability, and logistics teams. If you thrive when the market moves fast and you have to think on your feet, this one is worth a look.WHAT YOU WILL OWNManage daily procurement operations including purchasing, contracts, invoicing, and document review with accuracy and speed.Build and sustain long-term supplier relationships through proactive, clear communication and regular negotiation.Maintain balanced inventory positions across items, tracking open sales and forward coverage based on live market conditions.Partner with sales daily on product movement, pricing strategy, and customer-specific requirements.Collaborate with QA on supplier and item issues, working toward solutions that protect the company and our customers.Produce monthly market reports and deliver timely internal updates on trends, positions, and risks.Work with finance and accounting to keep supplier invoices accurate and approved on timeStrong written and verbal communicator, clear and direct with suppliers and internal teammates alike.Organized and detail-oriented; you catch what others miss and do not let things slip.Analytical thinker who can read a position report and translate numbers into decisions.Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where priorities shift and judgment matters.Able to manage your own plate and also delegate when the situation calls for it.
