Customers benefit from flexible manufacturing systems and dedicated project management to support brand growth and operational excellence.Role Description</strong> The Senior Buyer is a full-time, on-site role based in Greenville, SC, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities to support manufacturing and packaging operations. This position oversees sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of raw materials, packaging components, and indirect supplies while maintaining optimal inventory levels and cost efficiency. The Senior Buyer collaborates with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams to ensure material availability, resolve supply issues, and support new product launches. Daily tasks include analyzing demand and usage data, managing supplier performance, processing purchase orders, monitoring delivery schedules, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements. The role also involves maintaining accurate procurement records, supporting compliance with regulatory and quality standards, and contributing to strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with organizational goals.QualificationsStrong skills in purchasing, strategic sourcing, and supplier management, including experience negotiating contracts and pricing with vendors.Proficiency in inventory management and materials planning, with the ability to analyze demand, lead times, and safety stock to prevent shortages or excess.Experience working within manufacturing or packaging environments, ideally in consumer, OTC, medical, or industrial product categories.Ability to use ERP/MRP systems and standard business software (e.g., Excel, Word, Outlook) to manage purchase orders, forecasts, and reporting.Solid understanding of quality, regulatory, and compliance requirements related to FDA, cGMP, or ISO standards.Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.Professional certifications such as CPSM, CPIM, or CSCP are beneficial.Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment.
