Senior Buyer

A prominent manufacturer in the aerospace and defense industry is seeking a Senior Buyer in the greater Morristown, NJ area.Primary Responsibilities:Manage the full procurement lifecycle for aerospace components, machined parts, forgings, castings, raw materials, assemblies, and special processing services, using MRP/ERP requirements to support production and customer delivery schedules.Develop sourcing strategies, solicit and analyze quotations, negotiate pricing and terms, manage supplier relationships, and drive improvements in cost, quality, delivery, capacity, and supplier performance.Ensure purchasing activities comply with applicable AS9100, AS9102, FAR/DFARS, ITAR/EAR, DPAS, customer flow-down, and export-control requirements; support audits and maintain accurate purchase-order documentation.Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.5+ years of purchasing/supply-chain experience in aerospace, defense, aviation, or highly regulated manufacturing.Experience with ERP/MRP, engineering drawings, precision machining, special processing, and government/military programs is preferred. CPIM, CPSM, or CSCP certification is a plus.
