Senior Buyer

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Buyer (Sr Sourcing Analyst) in Milwaukee, WI (North side) with manufacturing industry experience. This role is onsite 5 days. The Senior Buyer will lead sourcing activities related to new product development and current products in assigned commodity space. Must have experience with commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plastics. You will also develop, implement and drive Category/Subcategory as well as Supplier Strategies. 90K – 115K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package (could go up to 125K+ if candidate has 12-15+ years of experience).

Responsibilities

Drive cost reduction initiatives and optimize supplier relationships while leveraging deep sourcing expertiseManage $30 - $50 million commodity spend, develop sourcing strategies, and collaborate with key cross-functional teamsLead negotiations and execute master supplier agreementsAnalysis of purchase volumes within category to drive supplier consolidation, cost reduction, product portfolio/supplier capability efficiencyManage quoting and negotiationsLead supplier selection process for both Global and Regional strategies on both current product and New Product Development componentsMentor, coach, and train new Sourcing team members

Requirements

BS in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experienceExpertise in strategic sourcing and commodity management5+ years of experience in manufacturingExposure to commodities such as castings, metal fabrication, hydraulics, drivetrains, engines, or plasticsWorking knowledge of master supplier agreements and cost breakdown methodologies.Strong communication and negotiation skillsUnderstand timeline development and cost structuresOpen to 20% to 30% travelAPICS Certification a plusLocal candidates only. Must be in a commutable range to Milwaukee (north side). No sponsorship. Must be a US citizen or green card holder (permanent resident). 90K – 115K Base + Bonus + Benefits Package
