Senior C# Developer

Who We Are Looking ForWe are seeking a talented and driven Commodities Trading C# Developer to join our London-based core development team. The successful candidate will serve the full pre-trade through accounting chain for Commodities Derivatives, contributing to a portfolio of projects covering enhancements to pricing, risk, regulatory and post-trade services, as well as technical improvements to reduce system complexity and increase scalability, performance and resilience.You will design and develop key pieces of functionality for the Commodities Derivatives Platform, ensure stability of the platform through rigorous testing, and follow established procedures for release control, code review, deployment, source code management and architectural governance.Technical CompetenceEssential SkillsExpert-level proficiency in C# / .NETStrong SQL Server skillsSolid technical background with hands-on experience of service-based architectures, web technologies, REST and gRPCDeep understanding of asynchronous and multithreaded programming models and solutionsExperience with messaging middleware such as IBM MQ or equivalentDesirable SkillsExperience with technologies such as Consul, Redis, Octopus and TeamCityPrior experience working directly with front office, trading or risk stakeholders, or equivalent in comparable business environmentsBehavioural CompetenceCore CompetenciesOrganised and delivery-focused, with strong attention to detailSolid work ethic and high levels of personal motivationComfortable operating with a strong degree of autonomyAbility to work effectively under pressureExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDomain & Business AwarenessBusiness knowledge of financial instruments and related pricing, risk or similar calculation methodologiesExposure to electronic trading platformsExperience across one or more asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, Commodities, FX or Derivatives)
