As part of our growing international consulting team, you will deliver Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies across a diverse portfolio of projects including data centres, external wind environment assessments, thermal comfort studies, natural ventilation, and specialist airflow modelling.The successful candidate will work directly with clients and project teams to understand design requirements, develop simulation strategies, communicate technical findings, and provide practical engineering recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work on challenging, high-profile international projects while developing your technical and consultancy skills within a highly experienced team.What You'll DoDeliver CFD simulations across a range of building physics applications, including:Data centre airflow and thermal managementExternal wind flow and pedestrian wind comfortIndoor air quality and thermal comfort studiesNatural ventilationDevelop geometry models suitable for CFD analysis.Interpret client requirements and define appropriate simulation methodologies.Prepare project scopes, cost estimates and CFD consultancy proposals.Analyse simulation results and communicate findings to clients and design teams.Produce high-quality technical reports and presentations.Participate in client meetings and design workshops.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architects, MEP engineers and sustainability consultants.Support the development of internal workflows, tools and best-practice guidance.Coordinate with the global team to ensure successful project delivery.Skills & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.4 to 5 years of professional CFD consultancy experience.Strong understanding of building physics principles.Experience working on projects such as data centres, external wind flow studies, thermal comfort assessments or similar applications.Experience presenting technical studies and simulation results to clients.Ability to interpret client requirements and contribute to the preparation of CFD project proposals.Experience producing high-quality technical reports and documentation.Proficiency with CFD software such as:ANSYS FluentCadence Reality DC Design Pro (formerly 6SigmaDCX)STAR-CCM+OpenFOAMor equivalent CFD platforms.Experience with geometry modelling tools such as SketchUp, Rhino, Revit or similar.Nice to HaveMaster's degree.Experience interpreting architectural, structural and MEP drawings and design documentation.Interest in applying AI tools to develop scripts, automate workflows and create in-house engineering tools.Knowledge of Python programming.Experience working in Linux environments.Experience with parametric modelling and automation workflows.Familiarity with data centre design and operation.Why Join UsBe part of a world-leading climate technology company helping to create more sustainable buildings.Work on technically challenging and innovative international projects.Collaborate with recognised experts in building simulation, CFD and sustainable design.Access ongoing professional development and career growth opportunities.Enjoy a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits and flexible working arrangements.Our Commitment to InclusionIES is committed to an inclusive workplace and welcomes applications from all backgrounds, even if you don’t meet every requirement listed.
