Senior Chartering ManagerSoutheast Asia (Relocation Required)Ryan Owen Associates has been exclusively engaged to conduct a confidential search for an established dry bulk shipowner in Southeast Asia.About the RoleWe are looking to speak with an experienced chartering professional who has spent a significant part of their career on the shipowner / owner-operator side, with direct responsibility for the commercial employment of dry bulk tonnage. This is a senior hands-on chartering role within an established commercial team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the effective employment and fixing of the company’s fleet, maintaining strong relationships with charterers and brokers, and ensuring vessels are commercially positioned to maximise utilisation and returns.ResponsibilitiesCommercial employment and fixing of owned / controlled dry bulk vesselsNegotiate and conclude Voyage Charter, Time Charter and TCT fixturesMonitor freight markets, vessel positions and employment opportunitiesEvaluate voyages, freight levels and commercial returnsNegotiate charter-party terms and manage relationships with charterers, brokers and other counterpartiesWork closely with operations and post-fixture teams to ensure smooth executionSupport the wider commercial strategy and optimisation of fleet performanceQualificationsApproximately 15–20+ years of dry bulk chartering experience.
