Senior Chief Engineer-Roads & Facilities Maintenance (Only UAE National)

Job PurposeDirect strategic and operational road asset maintenance, shaping policies, programs, and budgets that maximize lifecycle value, safety, and customer satisfaction while embedding global best practice and next generation asset management techniques.StrategyFormulate policies, standards, and multi-year maintenance programs, aligning executive plans and budgets with RTA asset management and sustainability goals.Approve contracts, tenders, and design reviews, ensuring all technical, legal, and statutory requirements are addressed.Contribute to the planning and technical review of road and bridge rehabilitation or upgrade designs to ensure long-term serviceability and engineering integrity.OperationsMonitor road conditions, prioritize work, and allocate resources to contractors and in-house teams, ensuring timely, high-quality project delivery.Manage departmental budget, analyze cost reports, and implement corrective measures that drive financial efficiency.Oversee execution of projects and preventive programs, reporting progress, KPIs, and risks to the Director.Product / Process ImprovementAnalyze KPIs and innovation metrics; recommend AI-enabled, data-driven improvements that enhance operational excellence and reduce lifecycle costs.Develop technical reports, studies, and value engineering proposals to inform strategic decisions and foster continuous improvement.Lead internal training programs and knowledge-sharing initiatives, raising competency and innovation maturity across the department.Apply transportation engineering principles to optimize inspection strategies, maintenance intervals, and geometric compliance across road assets.Physical Working ConditionsConduct site inspections across Dubai’s Road network and facilities in outdoor, traffic-exposed environments, including occasional emergency or after-hours visits.Job Qualifications & RequirementsBachelor/ Master’s degree in Civil/Materials Engineering5+ years in case of Ph.D (7+ years in case of Master’s, 10+ years in case of Bachelor’s degree) in related field
