Senior Civil Engineer

ENSEA FZCO is a Dubai-based engineering and project services company supporting energy and industrial projects across the UAE and internationally. We are hiring a Senior Civil Engineer for a major construction project in the UAE.The RoleYou will support the Company in delivering the civil works package: from the bidding stage and contractor selection through execution on site. The role combines project management responsibilities with hands-on site engineering and includes office-based engineering and administrative support.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise day-to-day execution of civil works per approved drawings, specifications, and UAE standardsRead and work with design drawings, specifications, BOQs, and method statements; raise technical queriesVerify quantities; support BOQs, progress measurements, and interim payment recordsCoordinate subcontractors and site teams; plan daily and weekly work frontsManage QA/QC: inspections, ITPs, material submittals and approvals, as-built recordsCoordinate setting-out, earthworks, concrete works, and utilities installationManage scheduling, procurement follow-up, and interface coordination with the Client and consultantsSupport the bidding phase: obtain and evaluate contractor quotations, prepare scope and commercial comparisons, support negotiations and the project budgetSupport formation and mobilization of the project team: engineers, site supervision, subcontractor teamsDevelop and maintain the project execution schedule; monitor progress against milestonesMonitor project expenditure against the approved budget; flag cost deviations earlyEnsure HSE compliance: method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, permits to workPrepare daily and weekly progress reports and maintain site documentationHandle project administrative tasks: correspondence, document control, meeting minutes, timesheets, procurement paperworkWork from both the site and the office, depending on the project stage and prioritiesRequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering7-10 years of experience in civil construction, including site-based rolesExperience in industrial, infrastructure, water treatment, oil and gas, or similar projectsUAE site experience and familiarity with local authority requirements strongly preferredStrong command of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, and quantity take-offHands-on QA/QC experience: inspections, ITPs, material approvals, site recordsExperience supporting bidding: quotations, scope comparisons, contractor negotiationsExperience coordinating site teams and subcontractors; team leadership skillsStrong organizational, administrative, and reporting skills; able to represent the project in meetingsProficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office; MS Project or Primavera P6 a plusGood command of English; Arabic a plusUAE driving license preferredWe OfferCompetitive monthly salary, commensurate with qualifications and experienceMedical insurance in accordance with the Company's policyBusiness travel, accommodation, and transportation covered by the Company6-month contract with the possibility of extension subject to the award of the underlying project contract
