About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer (Infrastructure) to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects that will shape the region's development landscape. You will work collaboratively with private developers, government agencies, and multidisciplinary design teams to deliver innovative infrastructure solutions that meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Project Leadership & DeliveryLead the planning, design, and delivery of infrastructure projects throughout all phases, including feasibility studies, design development, tender preparation, and construction support. Act as Project Manager and Design Lead on complex multidisciplinary infrastructure schemes. Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining the highest quality standards. Coordinate and manage relationships with clients, government authorities, statutory bodies, and external design team partners. Ensure all projects comply with Saudi Building Code, local regulations, and international best practices. Lead the design and technical review of infrastructure systems including water distribution networks, wastewater collection systems, stormwater management infrastructure, and transportation networks. Prepare and review comprehensive technical reports, design calculations, specifications, and construction documentation. Oversee the use of Civil 3D and other advanced digital design and modeling tools. Analyze complex engineering challenges and develop innovative, cost-effective solutions. Ensure technical excellence and compliance with Saudi standards and international engineering practices. Stakeholder & Regulatory ManagementLiaise directly with private developers, government agencies, planning authorities, and other stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Navigate local planning and approval processes with transparency and professionalism. Represent the organization at client meetings, project workshops, and regulatory consultations. Manage stakeholder engagement and maintain strong, collaborative relationships. Leadership & Business DevelopmentMentor and support junior engineers and technical staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Contribute to fee proposals, contract negotiations, and commercial management activities. Support business development initiatives and client relationship management efforts. QualificationsRequired Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. Chartered Engineer (SCE). Minimum 10-15 years of professional experience in civil engineering design and infrastructure project delivery. Proven experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects from conception through construction completion. Strong expertise in the design of water distribution systems, wastewater infrastructure, stormwater management, and transportation networks. Demonstrated experience coordinating multidisciplinary design teams and managing complex stakeholder relationships. Proficiency with Civil 3D and other industry-standard digital design and modeling software. Strong project management capabilities, including budget management, scheduling, and resource allocation. Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of project economics, contracts, and procurement processes. Knowledge of Saudi Building Code, local regulations, and approval processes (or willingness to quickly develop this expertise). Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as required. Preferred Qualifications & ExperienceExperience with infrastructure projects in the Middle East or similar arid climate regions. Familiarity with sustainable infrastructure design and green engineering practices. Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and integrated project delivery methodologies. Professional experience in a consulting or engineering firm environment. Arabic language proficiency.
