Apply & track with Apply EdgeSenior Clinical EP Mapping SpecialistCoreMap’s mission is to improve the lives of people affected by atrial fibrillation. We aredeveloping a high-resolution, real-time, 3D electroanatomical mapping system for use duringcardiac procedures to guide ablation therapy. Our system will generate novel maps of AFusing advanced statistical analysis of data acquired from our ultra high-resolution cardiaccatheter. The Senior Clinical EP Mapping Specialist will be a key member of our high functioning DataScience team, supporting important clinical and preclinical data acquisition and interpretationactivities. You will gain system-level understanding of a novel and potentially game- changingtechnology in a fast-moving field and grow your career in design and R&D. Mapping theelectro-anatomical underpinnings of atrial fibrillation is one of the most difficult, mostimportant, and most potentially impactful challenges in the field of cardiac electrophysiology, and CoreMap is poised to disrupt the field.Responsibilities
- Responsible for the training of Clinical mapping specialists who would then performpre-clinical and clinical studies and map interpretation activities.
- Support and lead complex clinical and preclinical studies in the US and EU, includingsetting up and operating the mapping system, providing technical and clinicalguidance during the procedure, documenting results, and supporting post-procedure data analysis to drive future system development.
- Analyze pre-clinical and clinical electrogram data for technology assessment, clinicalproject collaborations, and device development using Python.
- Independently identify system development or data analysis needs, develop tools tosupport those needs, and execute analytical tasks.
- Work closely with leading EP physicians to gain voice-of-customer feedback anddrive design requirements, support the systems engineering team in translating usarand clinical needs into technical requirements, and work with clinical teams to defineprocedural workflows.
- Gather data, ensure data integrity, review case data, and generate verifiable materialsto support submissions to regulatory bodies and the generation of external facingmaterials including training materials and publications.
- Train clinicians and EP lab staff on CoreMap system usage and study protocols.
- Cultivate and apply deep understanding of clinical cardiac electrophysiology.
- Keep up to date with technology advances in the medical device industry.
- Extensive travel required.
- Foster a culture of trust, open communications, and continuous improvement, with anunwavering focus on advancing patient outcomes.Skills and Experience
- Minimum of a MS in Biomedical Engineer or similar, PhD desired.
- 5+ years working with commercially available high-resolution mapping systems.
- Deep knowledge of cardiac anatomy, electrophysiology, and cardiac arrhythmias.
- Significant experience with the entire EP ecosystem, including RF generator, EPrecording system, pacing and diagnostic catheters, and electrogram interpretation.PFA experience preferred.
