The role involves cloud operations, hybrid networking, infrastructure automation, disaster recovery, and close collaboration with security and development teams.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate and modernize Azure infrastructure, including compute, networking, identity, Azure App Services, Azure SQL, Microsoft WAF, Azure Virtual Desktop, Windows 365, and Azure Monitor.Manage Windows Server provisioning, patching, Group Policy, Active Directory, and lifecycle migrations.Administer Microsoft 365 licensing and Azure subscriptions across a multi-tenant environment.Improve infrastructure-as-code practices using Terraform or Azure-native alternatives.Extend CI/CD practices to infrastructure deployment in collaboration with development teams.Partner with security teams on hardening, vulnerability remediation, identity controls, SentinelOne endpoint protection, and compliance evidence.Manage monitoring and observability using Datadog and Azure Monitor.Maintain disaster recovery runbooks, RPO/RTO targets, and periodic failover exercises.Maintain architecture diagrams, operational runbooks, and change records.Support infrastructure escalations, incident response, and post-incident reviews.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESCloud engineering experience with significant Azure expertise.Production-scale Windows Server administration.Hybrid identity experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Entra ID.Cloud and hybrid networking, including firewall change management, network segmentation, cross-tenant routing, IPsec/SSL VPN, NSGs, and subnet design.Disaster recovery operations, RPO/RTO targets, runbooks, and failover testing.Infrastructure-as-code experience; Terraform preferred, with Bicep or ARM templates also relevant.Ability to modernize engineering practices in collaboration with security teams.Comfort working with shared technical ownership and security review/sign-off.Ability to cross-train across infrastructure and security disciplines.Strong collaboration with security and development teams.Preferred QualificationsMicrosoft 365 Copilot or enterprise AI rollout exposure.NIST CSF, CIS Controls, ISO/IEC 27001, SOC 2, or privacy compliance exposure.Microsoft CSP/Solutions Partner program exposure.Google Workspace, Google Cloud Storage, or Wasabi familiarity.Cloudflare and next-generation firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet.Enterprise backup/DR tools such as Veeam, Axcient, or Azure Backup.Cloud-native/serverless migration, IIS, SQL Server DBA, AWS, or Kubernetes exposure.Mandatory Hiring ConditionsBachelor's degree is mandatory.
